Volunteering Opportunities

This position assists the Event Coordinator and tracks all volunteers to ensure the tasks are done, and the volunteers get credit for their completion. Help ensure all who wish to volunteer are assigned to meaningful tasks. If tasks have no volunteers then be resourceful and go find a volunteer.

Stop vehicles at gate entrance and obtain signature on Liability Waiver. Also need one individual to walk the grounds 1st thing in AM and get signatures from ALL already on site.

Setup folding work tables, setup boxes, fold shirts, stuff bags, pack boxes, deliver to check-in building

At roadside. On fence. In pavilions

Distribute picnic tables. Setup tables and chairs in pavilion buildings.

Setup Tent and table for DS Lite Pre-Ride meeting and Check In

At 10am, 2pm, 6pm ensure consumables are full in bathrooms and port-a-pots. Carry garbage trash to dumpsters. This does not require you to be at the fairgrounds all day.

Stop vehicles at gate entrance and obtain signature on Liability Waiver.

Staff the rider Check-In building nearest the gate. Check In Riders, hand out Rider Shirt Packet and answer any questions

Load GPS tracks to devices. Answer fuel distance questions. Show route on paper / .pdf. Distribute .gps and .pdf to Rescue.

Perform sound check for compliance to <=96db. Take down table and easy-up shade tent across street on Wabeno town garage lot and return it to the club garage.

In pavilion setup tables. Create groups of items so that size and value are similar. Record items donated from each sponsor. Lock the building until Saturday to prevent theft.

Keep area organized. During raffle deliver bucket to auctioneer for drawing. Deliver merchandise to winner.

Review Rider Check-In Sheet. Contact any riders that have Not returned

Check-In Dinner Guests against registrant list. Record names of any others, including Landowners, SAG, etc.

Clean the pavilion buildings. Empty garbage. Sweep and mop floors.

At roadside. On fence. In pavilions. Fold or roll and store in garage.

Final cleanup of bathrooms, restore to condition we took possession.

Fall ONLY!! After Big Woods event, The Club Trailer needs a good cleaning, outside and in, before we stow it for the winter.

Be one of the team who commits to be the last to leave. Last to leave team will need to insure that the fairgrounds is properly shut down and locked, and that the Club Trailer is stowed properly in the Club garage. This may require that you have a vehicle with a trailer hitch and 2" ball in order to move the trailer in.
