Here is why, because we are an AMA organized club doing AMA sanctioned events we have rules we need to follow to get our sanction and insurance. One of those is that if you put on an event in the confines of a National Forest or on BLM lands you are required to get a permit from them to be able to proceed. Currently the USFS is not giving out permits for large groups. We are working on a very detailed mitigation plan to turn in then we will see if they accept it. Things we can say with some confidence. This will not be like years past,it will be much smaller, zero or maybe 1 meal, only 60 camp sites on the grounds, no evening festivities. And above all no walk in or day of sign up, as in bring someone who is not pre-registered ,everyone in your group goes home. Don't want to be the hard ass but we are looking at the long game to keep our events happening. If we can do an event we will get details on the website as soon as we know what is happening.
